Background of Levites Ministries Nepal

Levites Ministries Nepal and Levites Church were founded in 2013 by Pastor Lazrus Rasaily, together with his family and a small team of faithful believers. The ministry was born out of a deep burden to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ, strengthen the Church, awaken true worship, and serve the needy people of Nepal.

Pastor Lazrus is a graduate of Christ For The Nations Institute in Dallas, Texas, where he studied Worship Leading, Technical Arts, and Pastoral Ministry in 2012. His life and calling were shaped through hardship, sacrifice, and faith. Born into an orthodox Hindu family in Bhutan, he was raised in a Christian orphan home in Northeast India because of his family’s extreme poverty. There, he encountered the love of Christ and began serving in the local church, especially in worship ministry, along with his siblings.

After completing his schooling, he returned to Bhutan to work and support his family, but God later called him to Kathmandu, Nepal, in 2001 for Kingdom service. Since then, he has served in various churches and ministries as an Associate Pastor, Youth Pastor, Worship Leader, Worship Arts Instructor, and also in ministry among street children.

Through years of ministry, Pastor Lazrus developed a strong burden for Nepal—a nation where millions still live under idolatry, poverty, spiritual darkness, and hopelessness, and where many have never clearly heard the Gospel. In the midst of this urgent need, the Holy Spirit birthed the vision of Levites Ministries Nepal.

Levites Ministries Nepal exists to proclaim Jesus, plant Bible-based and Spirit-filled churches, restore true worship, disciple believers, serve underprivileged children and widows, train leaders, and use media to carry the Gospel beyond physical walls.

The ministry does not see Nepal’s brokenness merely as a problem, but as an open door for the Gospel. Every unreached village, every abandoned child, every struggling family, and every church in need of renewal is an opportunity to reveal the love and power of Jesus Christ.

Levites Ministries Nepal was born from a burden for souls, a vision for worship, and a calling to see Nepal transformed by the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
