Levites Ministries Nepal was founded in 2013 by Pastor Lazrus Rasaily and his family. The Lord placed a deep burden in Pastor Lazrus’ heart for the nation of Nepal, where millions still worship idols and many have never heard the Gospel of Jesus Christ. His heart is to see every village, city, and unreached community encounter the love, truth, and saving grace of God.

Pastor Lazrus was born into a very orthodox Hindu family in Bhutan, but God brought him into a Christian orphan home in Northeast India. There, he found faith in Christ, received education, and discovered his calling for worship and ministry. From his early years, he served faithfully in the church, especially in worship ministry, even while facing many hardships and responsibilities.

In 2012, Pastor Lazrus studied at Christ For The Nations Institute in Dallas, Texas. During that season, he had many opportunities to remain in America and continue ministry there. However, God clearly called him to return to Nepal and serve his own country. This calling was not easy for him at first. Returning to Nepal meant facing severe poverty, limited resources, and the painful reality of having almost no one to support him in ministry. Yet, without considering comfort, security, or personal advantage, he chose to obey the voice of God and came back to Nepal in faith and obedience.

After returning, Pastor Lazrus carried a clear vision: to raise worshippers, plant churches, strengthen believers, and bring the hope of Christ to places filled with idolatry, darkness, and spiritual need. As he obeyed God’s call, the Lord began to bless the ministry and open doors for greater impact.

Though Nepali churches have grown in number, the heart of worship often seems absent amid this growth. This is a serious danger for churches that are growing outwardly but may be losing the very purpose for which the Church exists. For this reason, Levites Ministries is not only committed to reaching the unreached, but also to serving those who already have access to church and religion, yet are missing the true heart of worship. One of our major goals is to help existing churches rediscover the heart of worship, discipleship, and true devotion to Christ.

Levites Ministries was born from tears, prayer, burden, sacrifice, and a holy passion to see Nepal transformed by the Gospel. Today, through church planting, worship and music ministry, children’s ministry, widows’ ministry, outreach, and social media ministry, Levites continues to serve the nation with love and faith.
